Bearcat Vision. To develop a competitive, Christ-centered athletic program that is respected both locally and nationally for its relentless pursuit of athletic and academic excellence, while displaying world-class sportsmanship.

Bearcat Mission. To develop Christ-centered student athletes by helping them to grow in faith, character, leadership, athletic and academic ability; while providing the opportunity to make a positive contribution presently in their local communities as well as in their future endeavours.

Columbia Athletics is a proud member of the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association and the Pacific Western Athletics Association.

Basketball

Columbia’s Basketball program competes in PACWEST and the CCAA. against some of the best colleges and universities in Canada. The league consists of 8 college teams from all across the province. Aside from a regular league schedule, the teams compete in exhibition games against US colleges.

Volleyball

As a member of PACWEST and the CCAA, Columbia’s Volleyball program competes against some of the best colleges and universities in Canada. Playing in a 7 team league, the Bearcats strive to be the best they can be in hopes of representing British Columbia at the CCAA National Championships each year. In March 2011, the men's volleyball team made history, winning their first CCAA National Championship, while the women's team has taken medals at the provincial level and competed nationally in the past few years.
